Every Version at Once

Idea

A material inspector where you don’t switch materials — you cut windows into them, and the object becomes a cross-section of every version of itself at once.

Insight

Five renders of the same motion — photoreal, wireframe, pastel holo, Bauhaus print, modular brick — run in perfect sync beneath a single black surface. Windows open across it at random sizes and positions, each keyed to a different material, so the object is never one thing at one time. Material stops being a dropdown and becomes a spatial question: what you see depends on where the frame lands. Every few seconds the windows reshuffle and rewire, so no two readings of the same object are ever identical.
